JUDY WYNER:
Artist in WATERCOLOR - PASTEL OIL - ACRYLIC
BIOGRAPHY:
It was in the 1960’s that Judy attended her first painting class in Massachusetts at the home
of professional artist Glenda Tall. Here she learned the basics of oil painting and that she
really enjoyed painting realism and detail.
Since then she has studied Acrylics and “Construction” with George Dergalis in Wayland,
MA; Watercolor Techniques at the Watercolor Workshop in Needham, MA; Oil and Acrylic painting
with Rita Guzzi of Newton, MA; and Pencil Drawing, Pen and Ink and Life Drawing at the
DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA.

Since moving to Arizona, she has attended many workshops in SaddleBrooke with Brian Freeman,
Manuel DeLeon, Deanna Thibault, Terry Leach, and Carol Ann; also at the Scottsdale Artists’
School with Leslie DeMille, Robert Lemler, and Gil Dellinger. She has also attended Southern
Arizona Watercolor Guild workshops with George James, Don Andrews, Skip Lawrence, Frank
Webb, Carla O’Connor, and John Salminen. Her most recent workshop was with Francheskaa
through the Contemporary Artists of Southern Arizona.
Her work has been exhibited and sold in juried and open shows in Massachusetts, including
galleries on Newbury Street in Boston, and in other locations in New England and Tucson. She
is proud to say that her paintings are in homes across the United States and Europe!
In recent years, she has been painting mainly in watercolor and pastel. She enjoys painting
a wide variety of subject matter including landscapes, Southwestern architecture, people and
abstracts. Most of her paintings are from photos takes during her travels to many parts
of the world.
She is currently enjoying the challenge of working in mixed water-media, collage and
abstract. When not working on various committees, she teaches art classes at Desert
Point at Fairwinds and Splendido in an Outreach Program of the SalldleBrooke Fine
Arts Guild.
Judy is a member of the SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild, the Southern Arizona Watercolor
Guild, and Contemporary Artists of Southern Arizona.
